Sol, La Argentinita (Dancer and Singer), was born Glenda Sol Koeraus in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Now based in New York City, Sol performs and tours with numerous Flamenco dance companies, and has been performing with the Metropolitan Opera for the past two seasons in Zeferelli's producton of La Traviata. Since summer 2008, Sol has been dancing and touring internationally with Noche Flamenca, sharing the stage with figures such as Soledad Barrio, Alejandro Granados, and Alfonso Loza. In June 2008, she received a scholarship to participate in a summer intensive program at Jacob's Pillow and, in July 2009 she received the Cristina Heeren Foundation 2008 scholarship for the study of flamenco song in Sevilla.
